After an executive career with a new home builder, Jim knew he wanted to apply his expertise and experience to helping his neighbors buy and sell real estate. He received his license in 2004, and later founded The Betley Group.

Jim has lovingly been called “The Mayor of West Park” by neighbors who see his high level of involvement in their community. Jim and his wife and team member, Summer, have two children in youth sports and are intimately involved in the ins and outs of Roseville family life. This knowledge and love of their community led The Betley Group to adopt a philosophy of giving back. Since founding the business, The Betley Group has given over $28,000 to local schools, sports teams, and nonprofits.

Jim’s first loves are his two children and wife, followed closely by alpine skiing, long-distance running, and San Francisco Giants baseball. He is actively involved in his community and loves being a part of his kids youth sports, school activities, and community events.
